As the Lead Cyclist and Campaign Ambassador for Hope In Motion, Harry is leading a historic ride across Guyana — and eventually the Caribbean — to raise awareness and stand against gender-based violence.
Born and raised in Guyana, Harry Camlasaran’s love for cycling began with his very first bicycle, gifted to him by his mother; a treasured luxury that carried him through the countryside of Berbice, Guyana.
After migrating to Canada in 1982, Harry built a successful career as a Financial Advisor while developing a strong passion for charitable work and advocacy. In 2015, he joined the Ride to Conquer Cancer, serving as Team Captain, earning the Polka Dot Jersey four times, and helping raise more than $300,000 for cancer research and patient care.
Blessed with his wife of 31 years, four children, and two grandsons, Harry now returns to his roots with renewed purpose.
Through cycling, advocacy, and community engagement, he continues to inspire hope, empowerment, and meaningful change.
